How we keep a family maternity session flowing
We normally plan a rough order before shooting: family photographs while children are fresh, couple photographs while everyone is together, then more individual maternity portraits. The exact order can change depending on energy, ages and the kind of session you book.
For clothing, think shared palette rather than identical uniforms. Neutrals, denim, black, white, earthy tones or one controlled accent colour are easier to photograph together than competing patterns.
